Friday, September 27

Once again, a standard fried egg and 2 slices of bacon breakfast.

We had a meeting at work this morning. Croissants were present. One was had by me.

My usual mid-morning snack of a bit o' cheese and a bit o' sausage.

Lunch was cottage cheese, raspberry yogurt and the final quarter of that chicken.

There was also carrot cake at the morning meeting and there was still some left in the afternoon. Gave in and had the smallest slice I could cut without completely losing structural integrity.

Dinner was a ham steak with a little maple flavoured Kozlik's mustard on the side.

Still a little munchy in the evening, so had a wee snack of a bit of cheese and six olives.

 Coffee!
Actual breakfast didn't take place until almost noon since I was working the late shift today. Two strips of bacon, two fried eggs and COFFEE!

There were treats at work - soft caramels. One coffee flavored and one just caramel.

Most days I chew one or two pieces of gum.

Exactly the same lunch as yesterday only taking place at 4pm. Chicken salad and a plethora of veg.

More treats - nice cuppa and four little chocolate hazelnut wafer thingys. Austrian I believe.

Thursday, September 26

Standard breakfast. A fried egg with a couple slices of bacon.

For lunch, had a couple of GG fibre crackers, one with peanut butter on it, the other with cream cheese.

Afternoon snack at work, a little bit of cheese and a little bit of sausage.

Sigh. There were cookies at work. Gave in a had half a ginger molasses cookie.

Evening shift at work, so dinner was had there. Had another quarter of that chicken, with cottage cheese and a blueberry yogurt.

Sigh. Still cookies at work. Gave in again and had half a cinnamon raisin oatmeal cookie.

Lynn had picked up sushi for her dinner, but wasn't impressed by it. I finished it off when I got home from work.

Breakfast as usual coffee, bacon and eggs.

I chew a lot of gum at work.
 Morning coffee break.

Particularly yummy lunch today. Jicama, carrot, radish, celery and chicken salad made with roasted garlic chili aloli and capers -  had a hard time not eating two servings.

Doug's working late tonight and I don't want to cook just for me so grabbed some sushi from the supermarket. Meh.

Wednesday, September 25

Need to get to bed, so I'm just going to slap today's food pictures up and leave it at that. (Although I will remind people that I only eat a quarter of that chicken for lunch!)

Back bacon all gone - streaky bacon with my eggs this morning. And Coffee, always coffee.
 Gnawed on some gum.
Marianne brought homemade cookies. Kinda like ameritti but made with hazlenuts. Tasty little nuggets.
Lunch line-up. Last of the fish from Sunday dinner plus jicama, celery, carrots and a radish.
For the first time in months I was cool at work - easily fixed by a nice hot cuppa.
 Chew chew chew.
Again, courtesy of Marianne - lovely yogurt and a big spoon of her homemade strawberry jam. Was probably just the right time for strawberries because it was the best jam ever!
Dinner just the same as last night. 1/4 of a hamburger pie and a side salad.
More lite hot chocolate mix fortified with a splash of Crown Royal.

Tuesday, September 24

The day began with a usual breakfast of a couple of eggs and a slice of back bacon.

Mid-morning snack was a bit of cheese and some Ukrainian sausage (20g of each, I think).

There was some veggies and dip left over from some meeting or other, so I took a carrot slice and a teensy tomato with a touch of ranch dressing.

Lunch was a half-cup of cottage cheese, an NSA strawberry yogurt and a rotisserie chicken from Save-On Foods. ... No, I did not eat the whole chicken. I eat a quarter of it each day, so it lasts me four work lunches/dinners.

There was a box of Peak Freans tea cookies and I caved and had one. But only one!

And dinner was a serving of hamburger pie (yum!) and a side salad.

Breakfast day two - one slice back bacon, two fried eggs and one large mug of strong coffee.

Morning 'coffee' break is just a few carrots since breakfast is lasting well.

I chew rather a lot of gum at work.

Lunch is left-over fish and mushrooms from Sunday dinner and so
me carrots, jicama sticks and celery.

Rooting around in my locker for some dental floss I found some elderly drink mix so seeing as I've already finished my litre of water that I brought I mixed some up. It was.... moderately tasty.

Doug picked up the little yogourts this week. I was trying to resist this brand because of their saturation advertising but it's still tasty and in my fridge so - whatever.

Now that's what I call dinner. Hamburger pie (ie a pie made of ground beef with a filling of flavoured cream cheese) Om nom! also a small salad.

and to finish up the day - lite hot chocolate mix with a little cream and a shot of rye. Sigh.
